ATTENTION HOMESCHOOL
STUDENTS AND PARENTS

Any Home schooled Student registered in Jefferson County may participate in the West Virginia Measures of Academic Progress. Students in grades 3-8 and 11 may test during the spring administration.

Grades 3-8 will be assessed in English Language Arts and Mathematics; only students in grades 5 and 8 will be assessed in Science.

Students in grade 11 will be assessed using the SAT School Day Test. Students will be administered a battery of tests in Reading, Writing and Language, Essay, Mathematics, and Science. Students will be able to send scores to up to four colleges or universities for free.

**Test Dates for grades 3-8 will be April 9-May 24, 2019.  Location and test dates will be determined after registration and school test schedules are set.

**Grade 11 SAT School Day test will be administered on April 9, 2019....Location will be determined after registration. All students will have one opportunity to take the SAT at no cost with the public school students on this date.

Carol Whittington (cwhittin@k12.wv.us), Testing Specialist for Jefferson County Schools by 4:00 PM on Friday, January 18, 2019 if you would like to participate in an assessment. There will be no late registrations for these tests, as students will be entered into the West Virginia Department of Education Assessment portal to participate in testing.

Please provide students' full name, address, birth date, grade level, and public school that the student would attend, and if the student is taking a class or classes at the public school. Also include an email address and phone number for future correspondence.

Transfer requests must be done annually
Deadline for JCS employees: Dec. 1
Deadline for all other K-8 requests: Jan. 31
High school transfers are not an option for the 2019-2020 school year
